Autism Friendly Cinema Screenings
Odeon Cinema, Bromborough – will be showing Sing on Sunday, 29th January at 10:15am.

Cheshire Oaks – Autism Friendly Night- 7th February
Cheshire Oaks host a monthly Autism Friendly shopping experience, with a couple of adaptions to help ease the anxiety that shopping can cause and also to help build confidence for people on the autism spectrum and their friends/families. The adaptions include; lights turned down low, music turned off/low, a number of quiet zones throughout the site for a place to go if feeling overwhelmed and need a break, staff have received training in autism from our award winning Autism in Practice Department. Also if you visit the customer service office when you arrive, you can collect a map of the site which outlines all the quiet zones and also some autism alert cards which can be handed out to the public or staff if required.
The next Autism Friendly Shopping Night will be on Tuesday, 7th February from 5:00 – 9:00pm
NAS-National Autistic Society- Managing Anger Seminar -Thursday 17th March
Cheshire West and Chester branch of the National Autistic Society are hosting an Anger Seminar for parents and carers of young people with autism; this will take place on Thursday, 17th March from 9:30am – 2:30pm at Cheshire County Sports in Chester.
This should be very informative with great hints and tips for strategies and examples of resources to have a look through. This course is free, but a donation of £5 per family is appreciated and places must be booked in advance. If you would like further details, please follow the website link below:

CHAPS COURSE- Mindfulness for Children with ASD – Runcorn Course
Course running on Wednesday, 11th January in Runcorn called Mindfulness for Children with ASD which is being hosted by ChAPS (Cheshire Autism Parent Support). This will take place from 6:00 – 7:00pm and runs for a total of 8 weeks covering different topics such as the anger train, stormy mind, confidence and kindness and many more. There is a donation charge of £50 per child and your child does not need to have a formal diagnosis. To find out more about the course and details on how to book on, please follow the link below.

About Autism – Autism Local Event
Local support group About Autism are hosting an Autism Local event in February at Wallasey Village Library. There will be representatives from different places to tell you more about their services and what is available including; Elaine Barton, Alex Lowery, West Kirby Residential, Autism in Motion, Young Epilepsy Support and many more including Autism Together!
This event will take place on Monday, 6th February from 10am – 4:00pm; so put this date in your diary now and follow the link below to access the poster!

This magazine is full of really useful information, great resources and written in an easy to read and down to earth attitude by 2 parents of children with Autism.
