Autism Friendly Cinema Screenings
Once a month cinemas will show an autism friendly screening of a children’s movie; this is great for all ages and family members to attend and is targeted at those with a child with ASD or disability. The screenings differ from the usual mainstream as there are no adverts before the film is shown (therefore be there on time), the lights are raised slightly and the sound is lowered; also if your child swops seats or talks during the performance then this is ok. This is also a good chance to meet other families with children with ASD.
This months screenings are:
Odeon Cinema, Bromborough – will be showing The Angry Birds Movie on Sunday, 22nd May at 11:03am.
Vue Cinema, Birkenhead & Cheshire Oaks will be showing Alvin and the Chipmunks: Roadchip on Sunday, 29th May at 10:00am (£1.99 per ticket).
