A round up of the past half term!

We were very busy in Blue Class in the last few weeks of the half term so we thought you would like to see a round up of some of the many things we were learning!

Firstly, we read ' The Ginger Bread Man' in literacy. The children really enjoyed the story but their favorite part was making yummy gingerbread men out of home made gingerbread play dough.

You can make gingerbread play dough at home by mixing 2 cups of plain flour, 1 cup of salt, 2 table spoons of ginger , 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar, 1 table spoon of vegetable oil and 1 cup of boiling water (slightly more if the mixture is too dry). The children all loved it as you can see!

We also spent time making some beautiful Autumn collages by sticking leaves we collected onto sticky back plastic. They look lovely on our class window!

The children have also been exploring the school ipads. They were very popular and all of the children enjoyed playing the Build It app , ordering rings by size.

Phew! What a lot of work! The children were certainly ready for their half term break!
