The children in Green Class have been learning all about what Diwali is, and why it is celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs all over the world.
We listened to the Diwali story and heard all about how Rama searched for his wife Sita with the help of Hanuman the monkey. We took parts in lots of different activities during the week of Diwali to find out how the festival is celebrated, including: creating our own rangoli patterns, making diya lamps out of salt-dough and tasting yummy Indian sweets.
