We had a really lovely walk around Sycamore Garden Centre, searching for ideas of things to put in our own homemade mini gardens. We found lots of different types of flowers, some were bright coloured and some had different smells. Some of the children were able to name familiar plants we have been exploring in science, such as: daisy, rose, poppy and grasses. We also found lots of fun things we may like to have in our garden like: hammocks, water features and windmills! At the end of our walk we found some fish, which all of the children enjoyed looking at. After the garden centre we went to Backford Belles Ice Cream Farm. The children learned about how ice cream is made using the milk from the cows and that cows eat grass. We explored the farm, met some cows and then most of the children enjoyed a delicious ice cream!
