In R.E., the children in Green Class have been learning about Christianity, particularly lent and Shrove Tuesday. We explored what this time of year means to Christians, including how and why the give up certain foods. We discovered that this is why pancakes are traditionally eaten on Shrove Tuesday, and really enjoyed decorating and tasting our own pancakes! We also played pancake day games and tossed pancakes in a frying pan, it was lots of fun!
