Attention Autism

You may be aware that we have recently hosted Gina Davies of Attention Autism at school. We had a very successful whole school INSET, as well as welcoming colleagues from Dorin Park School and Ivy Bank Primary School to join us. There was an overwhelmingly positive response from staff to Gina and we were all left enthused to implement her ideas in school.

Carole and Debbie HK have been delivering the 'bucket therapy' approach for over a year now with tremendous benefits to the children in Blue and Yellow Classes. We also arranged a session for local schools as part of the Ignite Teaching School Alliance, which was attended by some of our parents and carers.

At Hinderton we make sure staff receive the highest level training available and are kept informed of developing best practice around the world. I think that this approach is one of the ways that makes our school special.
