Christopher Columbus

We have been very busy today learning about the great explorer Christopher Columbus. We heard information about where he was born, the places he discovered and heard the names of his ships. We even sang a song to help us remember the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria. Part of the morning we looked at a range of materials and spoke about which we thought would be suitable for making a ship. We made a list of materials that we'll need and then drew a design of our ship. Next week, we will follow our design sheets to create our ships. We hope they will float.
