Pumpkin Soup!

On Monday the children in Orange Class listened to the story 'Pumpkin Soup', written by Helen Cooper. They all had the opportunity to look at the pumpkins that have grown in our raised beds. The children chose a pumpkin and then became Chefs for the afternoon.

All the children explored the ingredients needed to make the soup. We had one pumpkin, one onion, one carrot, one potato and vegetable stock. They all had the opportunity to peel and cut the vegetables before adding them to the soup maker. The soup smelled and tasted delicious.
