In science, Yellow Class have been growing beans in two different ways:
1) We filled a small plant pot half full with soil, added a bean, topped up the soil to the top of the plant pot and then watered. By growing them this way, we can observe the bean when it sprouts and measure the growth above the soil.
2) We placed a folded piece of kitchen roll and placed it into a small 'bean house', added a bean and then water. We then placed the bean houses directly onto the glass windows. Growing them this way will allow us to see the root growth which we can then measure.
We will observe the beans as they grow over a period of time and measure the growth. We will record the information on a bean plant diary and keep you informed of the progress.
