Clean Teeth

Yellow Class took part in an experiment today to see how clean our teeth are. Before we brushed our teeth we chewed on a Ceplac tablet that stains plaque bright red and shows where decay may occur . We looked at our teeth in the mirror and then brushed them thoroughly with toothpaste to make them clean and white again.

Clean Hands

We have been talking about the importance of washing our hands before eating, after using the toilet and after stroking family pets. We watched a child friendly video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07YNCFlS0iI explaining the importance of having clean hands. We then used a product called Glo Germ that simulates the presence of germs on unclean hands. We applied the Glo Germ gel to our hands, rubbed them together and placed them under a UV lamp which showed up all the 'germs' on our hands, yuk! We then washed our hands thoroughly with soap and warm water and put them under the lamp again to check if we had done a good job and they where lovely and clean.
